Caylie Carter is an attorney at Allison & Mosby-Scott who is dedicated to guiding clients through some of life’s most challenging transitions with advocacy, empathy and professionalism, with the goal of achieving long-term solutions. Caylie primarily focuses her practice on the area of civil litigation, family law, handling dissolution of marriage, child custody, child support, property division, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, adoptions, and post-decree matters.  

Caylie was born and raised in Bloomington, Illinois. She earned her law degree cum laude from Simmons Law School at Southern Illinois University, where she served as a Taylor Mattis Fellow and received a CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Employment Law. While at Simmons Law School, Caylie was a member of the Honors Program, in which she completed a capstone project highlighting the adoption process in Illinois. Caylie also holds a cum laude bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.  

Caylie was admitted to the Illinois Bar in November 2025. Before being admitted to the Illinois bar, Caylie clerked at Allison & Mosby-Scott beginning in 2023. 

Outside of the office, Caylie enjoys watching sports, going for runs and walks, and spending time with friends and family.
